The Heritage Centre at Brough, (ex BEA Systems) has contacted me through Derek Bradshaw (MDC Masters fame), to ask if our very own IPMS branch, IPMS-UK Kitmaker (click on my banner or Bulldog badge ) can help out to refurbish a number of models for several aircraft museums. We fully intend to help all we can and John Snyder of White Ensign Models (WEM) has agreed to supply paint, from their Colourcoats range, for the project.
This is great but we are stuck witout primer. I use, and I know a lot of modellers use Halfords primer and this would be ideal. The problem is the amount that we will likely require.
So my question is, is there anyone out there who is willing to, or knows someone who may be willing to, let us have some primer, in baulk. Remember this is for several small museums with little or no finance for this.
Thanks in advance

Hi , Go to your local Poundland Shop and look in the Car section , you will find grey , white and black primer , The cans are at least 3 time larger than all the other brands and cost only a Pound per tin, I have used them for the last 5 years , cheers ian

A great idea Ian, but I've never heard of "Poundland"? If I can find one though I'll certainly try their primer

Thanks Nige, I don't do "shopping" unless it's in a model shop
