Thanks for the picsJohn.
I found the Knights pictured below interesting, I buy them from the warehouse for my son..BBI 'Warriors of the world' they are much better detailed and cheaper than Schleich and Papo, but I didn't think you could enter pre painted models in IPMS. The only work on that piece was the base and a couple of minor touch-ups on the knights.

Yup, according to the rules: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ScaleModelsExpo/message/10
>snip<
Entries may be comprised of any generally accepted modeling material
(ie plastic, resins, wood, metal). All models must have been built and
painted by the entrant.
>snip<
They would have to have been re-built and re-painted by the modeller to make them eligible. Which is what I understand the case is here.

I have seen a video of the expo courtesy of an IPMS Invercargill member - some superb models.
Congrats once again to IPMS Wellington and the organisers for putting on an excellent model expo.

Thanks for the info, I think its a good idea and gets more people involved. I collect 1/18 (modern)figures myself so I might look at building a dio and entering one myself in the future.
