Hey all,
Wow! 150 parts in a 1/1200 scale boat.......I think Gunny and Gator are partners with my eye doc in order to get me to wear bi-focals...LOL!
I may think about this if other ideas don't pan out.

A kit of a fine Dutch ship makes my patriottic hard beat a little faster
I might add this one to my stash (might =100% sure)

I saw on the History Channel last night that they use tugs like this to pull icebergs out of the shipping lanes.
Now that's a dio idea!

I don’t recall where I saw it. However, might this tug be used in moving oil platforms in the North Sea? Something about setting the anchors too….

Hi Frank,
I wear Tri-focals to work in 1/700.
Looks to be a nice build for "No Guns Allowed"

it's also the vessel used by Greenpeace for a while, but they had to sell it because for an orginisatioin that fights for a better environment, it isn't a good thing to have a fuel guzzling ocean tug. After being sold to Smit Nassau, it became a ship for the coastguard, the 'Waker ' or 'Guard' in English

Wow - This would make a nice display - a stable including the huge Heller 1/200 Smit Rotterdam class tug and the relatively tiny Imai 1/200 Smit Nederland class tug (didn't Revell Germany just re-release that as a different sister ship?)
The Smit Rotterdam class was world's largest sometime back in the early '70s. And the Nederland is just a modern, square-looking little harbor tug. Now one more tug in that bright-colored company livery. Looks like this Smit Houston is a pretty new ship, and right in the middle of the other two.
1/200 is way big for me - I haven't done anything bigger than 1/700 in many years, but I have them put away for "some day" builds, and maybe someday is here! Line 'em all up!
