Was this antenna used in early War say 2003 on M1 not marine but army.

The Original Div would be 3-69 That is Third Infantry.

Jeff,
That is a antenna mount for the EPLARs radio system, found on M1A1 Heavy Commons, M1A1AIMs, M1A2 & M1A2SEPs. 3ID drew M1A1 Heavy Armor tanks from Pre-Positioned Stocks for OIF and to the best of my knowledge did not use EPLARs during the fight. I was the 1st BDE XO from 2004-2006 (3-69 was in the BDE) and we did not use EPLARs but Blue Force tracker instead. I went through my pics and could only find EPLARs antenna mounted on a 3-7 Cav tank from A Troop - my guess would be 41 or 44 and several USMC tanks... No EPLAR antennas on vehicles from the tank battalions (3-69, 1-64, 4-64, or 2-69)

I guess will make one up and stick on the side and blank it like in the picture,which is an AIM BTW.

Really they were the First into Bagdad that took out the Big Statue Of Saddam on Horse one shot if I remember
