Retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Robin Olds, World War II ace fighter pilot and creator of Operation Bolo against North Vietnam's MiG force, has died. He was 84.

I had the privilege of attending a talk by Gen. Olds at the Air Force Museum in 1989. An amazing warrior.

This was big news here in town, with the General being buried at the Academy. A full Colonel flying and fighting, that must have been something. God speed.
