I wish I had that much room for my modelling area. It looks like a warehouse to me!

I finally forced myself to clean up part of the Bench last night well, get all the resin castings put away anyway. So I can have room to make up some more olds for a few new masters that are almost finished........

Chris,
You don't have enough jeeps and kubels dude.
I have a new hobby desk that my wife officially hates me for buying...

Now we just have to setup the downstairs office which will have more room. She thinks it's ugly.... I think it's beautiful. Venus vs. Mars I guess.
Cheers,
Jim

Thanks guys, Jim those are really nice units, the wife and I checked one out for my airbrushing work space but the price was more than I wanted to spend and lacked the needed space to fit it in. Mrosko

This unit was/is available through Costco for about $600. Which yeah is a bit pricey compared to a plain wood unit or something handmade (I once made a desk out of 2 cheap filing cabinets and a low cost interior door!). But this is about all the space I am going to get so... I may be able to eek out a bit of closet space for kits though. Luckily unless you count my 20 year old stuff there is not much on hand at the moment.
You seem to have LOTS of space though Chris. Of course since you do this stuff for a living that makes perfect sense.
Cheers,
Jim

Cool workspace Chris. Wouldn´t mind a rumble through those drawers and boxes. Im sure theres loads of goodies that you´ve forgotten about and wouldn´t miss
Lots of inspiration pieces as well .. good idea! Do you collect beer cans or what? I see you keep them behind glass ... and the models are out getting dusty. Priorities??

Hey Chris
Your stash looks like a supply room from a hobby shop. Maybe thats the cure for that whole lack of space thing. Start a shop on your site, You will have more room and have the money for the new desk.

I moved my modeling area from my small bedroom (about 8x10ft) to my master bedroom(16x12) and moved my bed to the smaller room!
I only take up so much room when I'm sleeping so I figured what the hey!
Jim, that is one beautiful bench you got there! So nice and shiny!!!!!
Chris, it does look like you have a full warehouse to do your work in!
I'm envious of both of you!!!!!

Thats the problem with a new expensive workbench ... you´d be concentrating more on keeping it clean than how you´re cutting/glueing/painting/etc. Does look good though.. especially the little wheely table in the middle that can be rolled out where and when needed. I could really see myself sitting behind that

I don't understand how you have so many models still in their boxes though, are you very rich?
