My 13-year old boy and I build Military models and we use Testors Model Master Acryl paints. Will these spray through an Aztek 470 without thinning?

We have an older Badger suction-feed and it will not, but we also have a gravity-feed one made by an off-brand company called Holding. It sprays Acrylic paint great without thinning. It works great, but it’s not the best quality airbrush (but it was only $20.00 on e-bay.) I would like to get a high-quality brush that is gravity feed and that will spray un-thinned paint.

From my point of view I think you must thin your paint for airbrushing, ever!
Try thinning tem and you´ll see how better you gonna airbrush!

We get very good results without thinning. I don’t know that it would work with gloss, but flat military colors come out great and it’s easy to put the extra back into the bottle.
I would say that the paint jobs on my Son’s tanks look as good as any I have seen.

Another nice thing about the A470 deluxe kit, is that it comes with a bottle adapter that fits right onto a MM bottle. Testors says that Acryl are made to be sprayed unthinnied,and i frequently do, although there are times a little thinning is warranted. If you do thin, use just a couple drops of Testors Acryl thinner. You can use whatever you like to clean, I use alcohol and Windex.

But will the A470 spray un-thinned Testors paint?
