Well the other day at the store I ran into this kit and bought it good price. Is it any good and would the AFV club tracks fit a 250 series model with the same wheels ?
Number on box is MM-115 old boy kit around 1970's I would say
Thanks

Jeff,

As far as I know, AFV Club only makes tracks for the 251 series. The tracks for the 250 series are entirely different and would not work.

If you did get a 251/9 kit (and not at 250/9, Tamiya made both)... then you are in luck, as the tracks will fit just fine.

Hope this helps.

I think your best bet is to find a DML/Dragon SdKfz. 250 and kitbash it with the Tamiya 250/9. The benefits would be a much better hull and suspension mated to the Tamiya interior and turret. The DML kit has more accurage road wheels and very nice individual linked traacks. It also has nice clean fenders, whereas the Tamiya kit has those molded-on tools with canvas covers. A set of Modelkasten or Friul tracks cost as much or more than an entire DML 250 kit and it they still won't fix the roadwheels problems. That is how I'm planning to build a 250/9. Good luck. :-)
