Hi chuck

I'm glad to see them coming back. Its like my childhood all over again. With that said as I looked at the box art pics of the "new" kits I didn't see anything that could hold its own against the more modern companies out today
Its just seems to me that someone has purchased a licence to use a name. Maybe a couple of dozen old molds, and thinks they can make it big in the model world. Our world has moved long past the kits they showed on the site. Unless they have something new stashed away somewhere. I think someone will be spending alot of money on a few old Memories.
Harry
Whats next ? Is someone going to talk the folks in Detroit into bring back the Hudson Hornet, or the Edsol, or maybe even the Packard.

Oh, Harry I have to agree. The only "models" of interest may be those old character figures (just for old times sake). But I thought it was interesting that someone was trying to bring the name back

But don't knock the Hudson Hornet I've some very fond memories of helping my Dad work on ours in the driveway. It's also the car I feel out of on the freeway, back in 1953

20-25 years ago, I would find myself getting excited over seeing these again.
Today, I'm at a lose for words and keep asking myself "WHY?"

I hope it turns out well for them, but really can't see me running out and buying them, singing "who's your little hoozits?" and waiting for Dean to sing back "who's your turtle dove?"

I'm a bit excited by this news, Aurora did some execellent auto kits in 1/12 and 1/16 that I'd like to do over again. My only wish is that they produce their Helicopter line, I would like to get my hands the old 1/48th Chinook...just to add to my collection. That is one of the Helicopters kits that I just have a tough time getting a hold of. I know they (kits) won't be up to todays standard kits but we the modeler has evolved enough to make magic out of them.

Wish them the best.

I'm with mother...I had afew of those big drag car kits...the fact that the pistons, rods, and crank were all different pieces was great...I'd buy those again. I don't have to mow the lawn to get my models anymore now,{although I still have to mow my lawn} but I set my "allowance fund" for me now...well, till the wife complains enough. I'd grab a couple of kits maybe for my son to start on too...

About half of the Polar Lights kits were packaged using the Aurora name, but if you looked closely at the fine print on the box, they were produced by Revell-Monogram. Monogram received Aurora's molds when they went under.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Aurora kits and even sent Mother some of the Aurora helicopter kits he covets. They had a 1/32 scale line of cars and hot rods that I loved as a kid.
