Hi All.
My name is Steve, am soon to be 48 yrs old and have just signed up to Aeroscale and indeed this heli campaign , having been "lurking" around the Rotary threads for a while, I have been inspired by this site.
I live in the West Midlands of the UK, and have been a life-long modeller of all sorts.(model railway, r/c model boats/ yachts /tanks/trucks and helis)
Helicopters have always been a favourite, and I am rediscovering my kit build skill this year.
Eyes are not as good as they used to be,( they tell me its my age ) so the bigger the scale the better...
I have now purchased the 1:32 Revell Eurocopter Swiss Rega, and an Acadamy 1:35 Black Hawk... ( yes.. I have the film and the book too!) thought I'd try the Rega first to hone my skills.
I hope my contribution will be a worthwhile additon to the fabulous builds I have seen on here... real inspiration I must say !
This will be my first rotary craft in probably 36 years , so be gentle with me, I have enlisted in the Guardian Angel Heli compaign too.
Steve

Howdy Steve
Here's a big hearty "Welcome aboard!!" Mighty glad you decided to take the plunge and join the Helo Campaign. It should indeed be fun.
I can really identify with you in regards to "...Eyes are not as good as they used to be,( they tell me its my age ) so the bigger the scale the better... " I too am afflicted with the very same visual shortcoming
So, you're from the West Midlands huh? I'm originally not too far from where your at. I was born in Preston many moons ago. The street just outside my house was cobblestone, and the Beatles were still 'lads'.
Since you're building the Swiss Rega version of the Eurocopter, I don't suppose you have a pic?
Enjoy your time here Steve, and we'll see ya on the Forums!
Warm regards,
Tread.

Howdy Steve,
Thx for the quick response. And I like the photo. It looks like a very nice kit, one I haven't seen at my LHS. It looks so nice an OOB build would be terrific!
I will be following your progress.
