My name is Ronny Lopes. This is the first site i've joined, and i'm happy to be here.
My callsign is wolfhounds,(the Regt. i was in Nam with). I've been building 1/35th armor off and on, since 1970(more off than on). I've been out of the loop for eleven years, and i'm looking forward to getting started again. Photos of four tanks i worked on in 1995 are posted. Feel free to leave comments, as there's always room for improvement. I will be sixty years old shortly, and i'm still in uniform(Army). I retire the end of May, unless they extend me(this was just told to me today, by my CPT). It won't break my heart, i'm not ready to go anyway. I went in the Army in 1964, and i still like it. Well bye for now, and happy modeling.
Ron

Hi Ronny, welcome - nice to have you with us. That's a loooong career you've had, joined up two years before I was born!

Excuse my ignorance (I'm a Brit so don't know an awful lot about the Vietnam war), but what sort of regiment was it that you were in?

Hi Graham, thanks for the welcome. In answer to your question, the "Wolfhounds", is the name of the U.S. 27th Infantry Regt. I was assigned to them March of 65. They are part of the 25th Inf Div. I take it you were born in 1966, i was still in Vietnam then. Hell my oldest child was born in 1968. Well my friend have a good day, talk to you later. Ron

Hi David, just wanted to thank you for the welcome. In answer to your question, the tanks are 1/35 scale. It's the scale i prefer, as matter of fact, they are handpainted. I prefer to do that also, thank you for the compliments on them. The M4A3 was built out of spare parts. Have a good day, and enjoy your hobby.
