Hi all,
I've returned to this hobby after a long hiatus. I still have my childhood collection of 1/76 AFV, but haven't worked on a model for about 15 years. In 2004 I spotted JB Models' Vickers Light Tank mark VI (a model I've wanted since seeing a scratch-build in a very old Airfix magazine) and snapped it up reflexively. Last week I decided it was time to start building it!
I was delighted to find model making is still meditative and satisfying. Going to a lot more trouble these days, too — I bought my first-ever tube of putty.
I look forward to all of you being very helpful to me.

Thanks for the warm reception, folks.
Dave, the stuff that's come out while I've been away is of great interest to me. Tracking it down is one of my priorities. Can you give me a web link to some of the photo-etched gear you mentioned, or can you name manufacturer/s?

In your neck of the woods, your best bet is to check out the offerings at either Luckymodel or Hobbyeasy. There are links to both contained in this website. The Luckymodel search engine is easier to use. Just pick the scaleand the type of vehicle you are working on and check in the category armor accessories, or photo etched sets and see what is available for the type of kit you are working on. Enjoy, the hobby is so much more fun nowdays
