I was looking around the net when I found this place and decided to join.

I have been away from model building for awhile and just started again.

I also have a great interest in the military and in weapons so many of my models are military related.

I hope I can get to know you guys as well as learn more about model building.

Welcome you to the Big-A. You will (hopefully) come to love it here; we are kind of contagious in our enthusiasm for modelling.

Any specifics about what era of models you build?
What era of weapons do you study (I study modern)?

I think you'll find most of us have had that "been away from modeling for a while" story in our backgrounds..

Hi Jacob!

I'm also new here! I "enlisted" a few weeks ago and feel like it was some month ago! It's a good place I can tell you!

Thanks for the worm welcome guys.
I think I will like it here.

Well Jeff I really don’t have a specific time for the models.
I study military related history mostly from WWII to now but also some from medieval times and earlier.

Welcome! I'm relatively new as well. Everyone here has been very helpfull and friendly. Every day I log on and check out the latest posts and every day I'm amazed at what I see. I mean, just when you think that you've got something down pat, someone links you to a web sight that just opens the door to something new to try out on your work.

Best wishes!

Jacob, Welcome to the Big A. You are so very lucky that you stumbled upon this site. This site is more than just another model site, you will soon learn that this is an extended family here. Anything you need to know, you can find out here from some of the best modelors around, and if someone can't answer your questions directly, they will point you in the right direction.
So, when you settled in, use some of your gallery space, upload a few pictures, and let us see some of your work..
Again Welcome to the Big A.

I guess I did join on the anniversary of D-Day.
I wasn’t really planing on any D-Day models any time soon but now I may just add a higgins to my to buy list.

I’ll try to post some models as soon as I can but might have to wait till I finish the Dio I’m working on.

I’m trying to dig out my military models I made before but I don’t know if any are still together. Many were cannibalized for parts or sold.
But I should find that box soon.
