The weather here in Reno is pretty pathetic, so as I cranked up one of my Zeppelin albums, it occured to me to start a post about the Top 4 Rock & Roll songs of the 60's-70's.

1. Bad Moon Rising- Creedence Clearwater Revival
2. Break on Through- The Doors
3. Stairway to Heaven- Led Zeppelin
4. Immigrant Song- Led Zeppelin

Ok- here's mine... in no particular order...

Vacuum Cleaner by The Tintern Abbey
The Red One by Mick Softley
Balloon Burning or Defecting Grey by The Pretty Things
All Tomorrow's Parties by The Velvet Underground.

This choice could be entirely different if you asked me tomorrow, but it's raining, I'm at work and I would far rather have stayed in bed today!!!

Knew there was something I liked about you Steve. I couldn't make a better list myself.

Stretch it into the 70s and I'd have to add American Pie. Any song that can transcend generations like that one, my two teen aged girls love it as much as I do, has to be something special.
