What was that bad Vietnam movie with Micheal J. Fox? I'm drawing a blank.

What was wrong with it?

It wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'lousy'...

It was boring and was casted horribly (in my opinion) for a movie based on a true story.

Must admit I hated that film I found it rather upsetting, I know it happens in war but it makes me feel less of a man when I see that sort of thing.

Another reason to not like the film is size. I mean think about it, Michael J. Fox is all of 4' 6", Shawn Penn goes about 4'9" and the V.C. were taller than them! They could have just filmed a bunch of midgets in b.d.u.'s riding around on tricycles and falling off and kept the same title.
All in all ya still gotta love Fox macking Penn in the kisser with a shovel. - Cheyenne

Well, 'Platoon' didn't exactly cast a glowing look on the U. S. Army. And there were several things that were just wrong as far as equipment went. And the fact that Dale Dye was the technical adviser, a lot of Marine and Navy terms found there way into the dialogue. IMHO 'Hamburger Hill' was the best Vietnam era movie.

Oh, and by the way. Fox didn't pop Penn with the shovel, it was the corporal with the knife he smacked.
