Hi there! I'm from Sri Lanka (yup, the wee island south of India) and have been modelling from my early teens. Started with aircraft (mostly WW2). After my spell in the Army I moved on to choppers and later to figures (WW2 & modern, mostly 1/32 & 1/35). I'm now into the 1/16 scale figures and have done about a dozen (Dragon & Tamiya). Will post some pix as soon as I get my digicam back from the wife. Cheers all!

I guess I am the only one from SL. I do know a couple of other modellers and will try to introduce 'em to Armorama. We're in the modelling dark ages here in SL as the last kit store in Colombo closed in the early '90s due to lack of interest! Pretty much dependent on the net for resupply.

David, welcome to the Big A..the best modelling site around on the net. You will find a bit of everything here from figures, armor, sci-fi, dioramas..and just plain everyday topics. Soo..come in make yourself at home..and by all means try to get your fellow model friends involved.

As our first official Sri Lankan, I welcome you! We certainly have not had as many members sign-up from your region as I would like. We only have a few in all of India as well. Guess they haven't discovered models as much yet. hehe
