Hi all my name Is Craig and am from the U.K, I am thinking of starting model building. The area I am thinking is Vietnam, helicopters etc then progress from there. Is there any tips help or ideas anybody could share to help get me started.
Plus do I need to get an airbrush kit or can I get on without one?

Thanks for your help

hey there I know whats its like to start out as i've been building for 4 years now..

here is a trick I used.. I decided how much to spend each week on the hobby when I started and didnt' have any tools.. I sit aside $20 each week and if I went to the hobby shop that week I bought a tool or two or some paint I would need... eventually when I got a nice bit of stuff to work with I just saved up my weeks budget untill I could buy a compressor and airbrush..
It took me about a year to get just about everything I needed and then some... but its a good way to start without blowing your paychecks all at once...

Hello Craig!

Glad to have you along. You don't need an airbrush but as you build more and more you will probably want one. I started with the intent just to brush everything but after three kits I wanted a better finish so I bought one. Enjoy this site.
