I have tried to read the book three times, and just couldn't get going with it. I'm not a big Russell Crowe fan but I must admit this one DOES look good. I understand they have to make one very large liberty with the book. In the book the enemy is an American privateer. It just wouldn't DO for the hero to be Brittish and have him fighting the Americans. Hollywood PC as it's very finest.

I plan on seeing it, even if my wife won't want to go to it. I'm still blaming her for not wanting to see The Two Towers in the theatre.
