Hi, everybody - permission to come aboard......?

I was made aware of this forum at the Atlantik Pirat forum. I am interested in military history in general and naval history in particular.

I have done some "light" modelling through the years and am now looking for kits, or potential builders of, the German Type 35 minesweeper (WW2). My interest in this ship's type was awakened in connection with my studies when recently writing a book on Operation Sea Lion.

I know there exists a cardboard kit (in 1/250, I believe) but my size should be around 1/100 scale. If anybody has a clue on this I would appreciate to be informed.

Looking forward to participate in some historical discussions as well.

Hi Fred. Welcome to Armorama. Where in Sweden are you located .. maybe theres a local branch of IPMS. Have you checked out the IPMS Stockholm homepage yet? Ulf Lunberg makes some fantastic ships and maybe could help you some. Im sure there are those here as well, but I know zilch about boats/ships myself!

Welcome Fred!! I'll second Frank's idea, Ulf likes those floaty things. As for me all I know about ships is I'd rather be in one than swimming...
