Spain has been by far more offensive and ruled the whole match which has been their best one at this tournament.

Have we really seen the same match? I went to the bar with a few friends of mine and watched the match in German as there were some Germans that wanted to see the match also. My god... It really was the most boring match ever. I nearly fell asleep. Germany couldn't break the Spanish Defense and whenever they could they were not able to Kick the ball and make a goal... On the other hand... the few times Spain actually managed to get in the direction of the goal either egotism or really sloppy football kicked in. Only a hand full of REAL chances... Not counting the other handfull of shots fired on the goal... which resulted in nothing really. It tells a lot when the only goal comes from a corner. Which by the way was a pretty neat header from Puyol.

Further it was a semifinal that I will forget pretty quickly as it really didn't had enough excitement to be remembered. Let's hope the Dutch vs Spain will be a bit more exciting. We'll see you on Sunday

Well after trying to chew my way through the horrible translation of Babelfish I have to congrat you that Some of the most impressive football countries in the world praise you for your game. China, Mexico, Italy and the ever impressive France

I can show you similar articles for the Dutch team but I won't... it is not the press that wins the cup for us.,.. It has to be the players.

Today I dreamed that on Monday, breakfast with tulips .......

Really if you have will you tell me how they taste like? Nobody in Holland has felt the need to eat them since World War 2 I heard they taste like onions... If we manage to win the cup and it could go either way I would be more then obliged to send you some tulip flowerbulbs for your breakfast... we live in the middle of tulip country here. Just say the word matey

Could we start banning posts produced by Babelfish? To be brutally frank they make NO sense whatsoever,

Clearly, the smart money is on Spain. 2-1 with goals from Villa and Pedro.

Nope, there's been no ego-problems with Spain this tounament. Biggest problem has been Fernando 'brain-missing' Torres... He might delight those (ahem) demanding Liverpool fans but he certainly doesn't count Spanish fans in his supporters list. Main Spanish Sport newspaper had a 93% AGAINST him playing...

For today's 'Sad Git' award, the English press canvassing for Torres and the interview with the mother of the match referee.

Well, at least there will be ONE English participant...

Note to the F.A. - invest in more refereeing classes. Best and cheapest way to get coverage!

All is set for a great match. Will be good to have a first-time champion.
I'm counting on a goal-fest (never happens when wanted though) and for The Netherlands to come up trumps. There are a few big mouthed Spanish supporters locally I'd like to have sat back on their arses.

Do not expect an exiting match.

WC finals have often been quite boring.

For the majority of the players it is the ~70th match of a long season thus do not expect much action but a slower play
with more bad passes as usual.

Only the golden World Cup itself and the fear not getting it due to a little mistake gonna push the teams over the whole match.

And the favourite?

Hard to predict, I could live with both of them.

Netherlands is the only team which has won all its matches.

Spain provides the completest team with tighterly grown structures.

Now some words about the awards.

The question of who will get the Golden Ball might be reduced to a duell between Snejder and Villa.

Additionally to their very good performances they have been showing in general both scored the most goals but in contrast to No. 3 Müller who is on par with both, they have also been entering the final.

Due to the importance and meaning of the goals I see Sneijder as the winner because his double-strike against Brazil is most remarkable

The Golden Boot

If Sneijder and Villa do not score either, Müller will get this award for sure.

Okay,

my prediction for the WC winner.

Congratulation Spain to your very first star!

You have fielded with your Furia Roja the currently most capable team.

Finally the world gets know the titans in the background like Xavi and Iniesta which are the real pestilence for each opponent.

Hopefully the Spanish do not completely turn inside out their country tonight.
