Hi, Having been told about your site I have "bitten the bullet" so to speak and joined! I wish that I had found this site earlier as it is overflowing with resources for the established model maker and newbie alike.

I do not know where to class myself? I enjoy making and painting Warhammer 40,000 models for my kids and will photograph and upload some of my efforts in the not too distant future to let you make up your own minds!!

I think, with about three years of model making and painting to my credit - not to mention my handi-work as a kid as just allowed me to scratch the service of this hobby.

What do I want to get out of this? Well I'm prepared to soak up any advice like a sponge! I would like to think that I am still not to old to learn and I look forward to the support of your community.

You're in the "A" class if you're here...Armorama that is.

Are you currently working on anything? We'll be awaiting those Warhammer figure pics.
Hope to see you around.

Hi,

Wow! Thanks for all your replies, in an attempt to answer some of your questions; I am a Cornishman who moved to Yorkshire with my work and settled down here after marrying a "Yorkshire Lass". I have a couple of hobbies- Models & PC's and, as my wife says "the most expensive hobbies".. Expensive, maybe but rewarding Yes!

Over the past 2-3 years my son's & I have built up quite a few models with Warhammer they are: "Catachan Warriors", "Space Marines", Dark Elder" ,"Tau" and lastly "Lord of the Rings". We have bought more models than I have had time to keep up with the painting, but I aim to take my time and present a nice model to look at, never mind letting the kids play with them!

I must admit the "Lord of the Rings" models are the ones I have been impressed with. However, I intend to spend a lot of time with the facial detail (any tips would be appreciated)! I think I had better start my research on colours etc now, as I do not always rely on colours in the Warhammer codecs.......

Steve
