Saw TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES on Saturday. Lots of fun but not overly serious. The usual Arnoldisms and a few new ones. "Doan doo daht," "Ainguhr is moh yoosful dan dispayah," "She'll be bach," and "Tawk to de hahnd" and the classic, "I lied."
Some self deprecating humor, like the search for the right sunglasses and how he gets his leathers this time around.
The story takes the mythos a bit further into itself and opens the door for a T4, much like T1's last exchange ("There's a storm coming." "I know.") implied a T2.
Definitely worth a bargain matinee.

Hi AJ, thanks for the info, I was going to give this one a miss as usually by the third in a series of films they have given up on originality and simply rehash the story of the first two.
I guess it is worth a look.

I'll wait for dvd to rent on this one. Heard the Pirate movie might be OK but they panned the new Sean Connery flic. But what do critics know. Someone post us a review after they come out this week. I think Gods and Generals is due out on DVD this week or has it already come out?

One of the opening scenes shows an ICBM striking down into a city. Quite chilling. Plenty of scenes that won't look half as impressive on TV. I liked T3.
And boy, the scene is really set for a T4 sequel that will ROCK !

The Pirates movie was VERY good. I thought it had to be one of the best movies I have seen all year next to Bad Boys 2.

Pirates movie was good, but just a bit too too long. I was dying for the restroom by the end. Of course I couldn't leave during the movie. Guess it was good!

Really, I'm suprised that it was a decent film and something kids and adults should like. Johnny Depp was very good and the action was well done. Apart from skeleton pirates and curses, it was pretty believable!

i like the movie, the action scenes are nice (not realistic, but nice - like rambo 2 )
