If you were to produce a film about the political leaders of WW2 who out of today's well known actors would you cast in the following roles?

Franklin D. Roosevelt
Winston Churchill
Benito Musselini
Adolf Hitler
Joseph Stalin
Charles DeGaul

I dont know about the other guys but in recent years I think that John Cleese have developed an uncanny likeness with a weary Adolf Hitler. Although he might be too tall.

This is a difficult question to answer. Most character actors toil away in relative anonymity. It might be hard to find an actor from today who would fit as one of history's famous leaders. I find that many of today's movies rely on action sequences and less on drama. It would be drama that would carry any story about one of these leaders. One might still get away with the odd cameo appearance in an otherwise action movie, but for a full dramatic film, I don't think there are many who qualify.

On a side note, Mr Cleese might actually make a better DeGaule. He's tall enough, and is the right age for DeGaule at the end of the war.

I like your choices SOW1, I hadn't thought of John Voigt but he would really fit the part of FDR. Not to sure about Micheal Caine as DeGaule though, probably because I always think of him as a cockney gangster lol
