I'm new to the site - I found it in the Links section of Accurate Miniatures site so here's saying "hello".

I'm mostly into WW2 A/C, and do seem to end up building a lot of short-run models (I guess I'm a glutten for punishment) - but my modelling interests cover much everything really.

I'm a bit of a newcomer to the internet side of modelling, so I'm still finding my feet - logging in was quite a triumph for me and picking a smiley is really a step into the unknown...

Obviously, I've still got a long way to go finding my way around Armorama, so please be kind if I manage to blunder into areas I shouldn't.

All the best

Ola Porky

Man you definately found the best site in the world dude. And don`t worry about the newbie to internet modeling thingy.. This was the first forum where I ave ever signed in and my begin was carefull too. And also we don`t bother too much about blundering into areas where it shouldn`t as you will almost never hear bad things about that.
We are about sharing knowledge and answering questions and this goes with a warm friendlyness that is scarse to be found on the net.
As you state that your modeling interest cover everything then you are also at the right place as we have Ship/ariplane/armor/scifi/dio/ builders here all at a different level of building but all willing to share knowledge.
Ask and ye shall receive.

I hope you will have a good time here at the site and I`m sure you are used to this forum in no time.

Hey Porkey. Greetings from Texas. Feel free to stumble around all the sites. If you want to have fun, opt into the Junk Drawer and The History and Movie sections. They are a lot of fun. The other sites are always worth reading because you can either give someone else a hand or frequently learn something new yourself

Welcome to the BIG A.

A verital community of the best group of modelers in the world. Jim has given us the best play ground to share our hobby.

The basic rule - ask your questions - all of them. Be as specific as possible, and ask away.

Hope to see you around the forums.

Many thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! This really does seem a great site. I've taken the plunge and joined the Battle of Britain campaign - it'll be a shock to the system for a slow builder like me to try to play catch-up, but it will probably do me the world of good.

All the best

Hi porky, welcome Nice to see another A/C modeller and nice to see that you have jumped straight in on one of the campaigns. This is the best site for newcomers, both modelling and the internet. Any questions about either just ask away.
Whereabouts in the UK are you? :-)
