If you missed History Channel's "The Color of War" Men and Machines on Friday you missed a great show. Bunch of color stuff from ETO and PTO of Shermans, Stuarts, some Halftracks, M2 light tanks, one scene of a Pershing. There is even some color German footage when the narration is comparing US to German tanks. Anyway posts on other DG's say it is going to be reshown on Sunday. So check your schedule and set the VCRs. This one is a keeper. Now if only the History Channel would release the series on DVD.

I have just told Selrach about it, he's definitely interested. Will be checking out the program schedule for the weekend to try and catch it. Thanks for the info!

I mentioned this some time ago when they broadcast it at the beginning of the year. I have the "WWII Lost Color Archives" on DVD that the History Channel also released and it is good as well.

It was very good. I also caught the "Covering the War" and "Uniforms" part of the "Color of War" series - Very good.

It was really interesting to see the tanks in action. I also saw the one where they were talking about the US supply lines. I didn't realize that it required so many people to keep the frontline troops supplied.
