Anyone seen the movie "Stalingrad." It is from the director of "Das Boot." I pick it up at the video store Saturday. They had real, running Sd.Kfz 251s in it. Bunch of running T34-85s, too. All in all, worth watching if you haven't seen it.

Hola!

Yes!!, I agree with you. I've seen it many, many times! I love that movie, it's very inspiring for new figures and ideas keep comming when I watch it. The end kind of bites, but hey, thats how it was.

When we had a thread on our favorite war films a while ago, Stalingrad was among the top. Truly an excellent movie.

man I missed this one. When did it come out. Is it a documentary or an extremely accurate war flick with characters that are in the battle. Like to see some particulars on this one thanks

Stalingrad is a war flick not a documentary. It follows a small unit (company or platoon maybe) of the German 6th Army through their experiences in and around Stalingrad. It is a superb movie.

I completely missed this movie, too. That is why I started the thread. No, it is not the same as the "Dogs Do You Want.." movie They are two different flicks. I put a link below to the amazon search results so everyone will know what to look for.

Yeah, I saw it. I like the part where they agree to stop shooting, and pick up the wounded, and then when they fake injuries to get hauled out of the place.
